GENERAL

The purpose of TMG- Automatic High Speed Pressure/Vacuum Valve is to provide automatic control of pressure status during loading and unloading, underway and ballast water intake without any manual operation and to prevent over or under pressure in a closed cargo tank.

MG-Automatic High Speed Pressure/Vacuum Valve is a device consisting of a mechanical valve that adjusts the opening available for flow according to the inlet pressure and prevents flame passage, so that the outlet velocity cannot be less than 30 m/sec at all flow rates and actual installation conditions.

TMG- Automatic High Speed Pressure/Vacuum Valve operates full functionality in full compliance with the regulations and conditions specified in IMO MSC/CIRC.67, MSC/CIRC.1009, ISO 15364:2007. In addition, it provides protection against fire and explosion on deck.

DESIGN

TMG- Automatic High Speed Pressure/Vacuum Valve is designed to adjust pressure and vacuum values depending on the deadweight and load type of the tankers. The main parts of TMG- Automatic High Speed Pressure/Vacuum Valve are pressure and vacuum body, pressure disc, pressure and vacuum seat, pressure weight, vacuum weight, flame arrester and magnet. TMG- Automatic High Speed Pressure/Vacuum Valve does not leak any substance from inside to outside and from outside to inside when in fully closed position.

TMG- Automatic High Speed Pressure/Vacuum Valve is controlled by the eccentric lever in the pressure body, while it is controlled by pushing the bakelite knob up in the vacuum body. The eccentric lever and bakelite knob should be checked by pushing up to verify that all moving parts are easily lifted and will not remain in the open position due to the self-closing function.

Provided that it is austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel, it operates at a minimum of -29°C.
